Workplace safety is guaranteed by a federal statute protecting the health and safety of workers in the workplace. The statute is called the Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA).
For on the job injury, employees are protected by the workers compensation laws. In addition, some states have employer liabiity laws if the workplace was dangerous.
